SHORT-TERM RENTAL

SLA rents out vacant State lands and buildings through Temporary Occupation Licenses (TOLs) and Tenancy Agreements (TAs). TOLs are generally for a short and fixed term or can be on a monthly or yearly renewable basis. TAs are for fixed terms, up to a maximum of three years per term.

TOLs and TAs can be issued for a range of uses such as worksites, site offices, mini fairs, trade expositions, carnivals, offices, schools, hospitals and places of worship amongst others.

Effective 1 Oct 2014, SLA will be the single point of contact for all TOL applications on State land. You will not have to approach the Government agency that is managing the land. You can simply apply for TOL at APPLYTOL@SLA.gov.sg

FOR ONE-OFF EVENT

Non-renewable Temporary Occupation Licence (NRTOL) is a form of Temporary Occupation licence (TOL) issued for the use of State land and/or building for one-off event and for a fixed duration of not more than three months only. Examples of NRTOL uses include wayangs, religious celebrations, dinner event, trade fairs, fun fairs, carnivals, funeral wake, soil testing, location filming and other one-off short-term events.

VACANT STATE PROPERTIES FOR SHORT-TERM RENTAL

Looking to hold your event at an interesting place? You can rent one of our vacant State properties for a short period of not more than 90 days. These properties can be used for events like filming, exhibitions, fashion shows, pop-up restaurants and more.

LATE PAYMENT INTEREST RATE

For any licence from or tenancy with, the Collector of Land Revenue, Singapore Land Authority, which has a provision stipulating that interest payable on any overdue payments of fees, rents and other charges shall be based on the prevailing late payment interest rate as determined by the Government of the Republic of Singapore from time to time to be applicable and chargeable on any such overdue payments, please refer to the Table set out below:

Activities not allowed

  • Setting up of any temporary structures such as tentages.
  • Activities that might endanger the user/s and other members of public in the area. (eg. flying of drones, remote airplanes, kites, golf, rugby, cricket and baseball.)
